Our Story

"Like the lotus flower that is born out of mud, we must honor the darkest parts of ourselves and the most painful of our life's experiences, because they are what allow us to birth our most beautiful self."  Debbie Ford

Welcome to Wynyard Therapy & Life Coaching Founded within the walls of our founders home in Wynyard, Co.Durham in April 2020, our company emerged as a beacon of hope, providing solace and guidance to individuals navigating the tumultuous waves of life during the pandemic.

The service, has since blossomed into a comprehensive and well-established hub for mental health and emotional support. What began as a one-person practice has grown into a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional care to their clients.

Through online platforms and virtual sessions, we are able to provide our compassionate support to individuals from all walks of life, regardless of geographical location. We understand the importance of accessibility and strive to ensure that no one feels alone on their path to recovery.

Within our premises we are able to offer additional facilities, for group therapy,  a meditation space, and a resource library, enhancing the overall experience and providing a holistic approach to healing and growth

"Ruth was truly a life saver during  my career change. I didn't enjoy teaching at a secondary school at the time and was feeling down constantly. Ruth gave me consolation to make me feel better, also encouraged me to consider a career change. She also gave me some top tips on how to make good impression at job interviews. Now I am enjoying my job and have achieved a work life balance like I always wanted. I can't recommend her enough"
